En la Igreja da Misericórdia de Portel (Portugal, distrito de Évora) se conserva en el sotabanco del altar mayor (Foto 2A) un Cristo yacente del siglo XV con brazos articulados (Foto 1), con el cual debió de hacerse el Descendimiento (en la actualidad sigue saliendo, en esquife y bajo palio, en la procesión del Santo Entierro. Foto 2B).
