Un mercader duerme a la sombra de un árbol mientras una jauría de monos le roba sus pertenencias, husmean en su trasero y uno de ellos defeca en su sombrero. Grabado de Pieter van der Heyden inspirado en un dibujo de P. Brueghel el Viejo.

El tema es un auténtico tópico en el arte flamenco y como señala Janson, este grabado de Heyden "served as the 'locus classicus' of [the] motif from the 1560s until well into the seventeenth century".
