El poeta, músico y dramaturgo inglés John Heywood (c.1497-c. 1580) redactó sus Proverbs hacia 1538 aunque no se imprimieron hasta 1546 (2ª edición con sus Epigramas en 1562). Los titifyls que menciona parecen variante de Tutivillus como los Tytyuylles de la Assembly of Gods atribuida a John Lydgate (cf. FICHA: nº 89: https://juliomontanes.synology.me/bases/textos/index.php?-table=textos&-action=browse&-cursor=0&Numero=89) o los tytyuelles de J. Skelton.
