El juego de aliteraciones en los parlamentos de Titivillus y su compañero Rofyn en la Stanza de Audelay, muestra la influencia del estilo satírico del Piers Plowman de William de Langland. Audelay, sacerdote de Haughmond Abbey en Shropshire, hace aparecer también a Titivillus y Rofyn en otro poema del mismo manuscrito (De meritis misse, quomodo debemus audire missam, véase FICHA nº 36: https://juliomontanes.synology.me/bases/textos/?-table=textos&-action=browse&-cursor=0&Numero=36)
